Here's what we have planned over the next couple of months:
Gymnema sylvestre is an ancient herb which has been used traditionally for nearly 2000 years to help manage cravings for sweet foods. In the Ayurvedic system, it is referred to as “Meshasringa” or “Gurmar”. The Hindu word “Gurmar” means ‘sugar destroyer’.
With chronic diseases associated with insulin resistance and metabolic dysfunction still on the rise, regulating blood sugar is a fundamental tool in clinical practice. Whilst diet and lifestyle changes are paramount, many need additional support to manage blood sugar. In this session we will take a deep dive into the research on Gymnema sylvestre and will highlight appropriate scenarios for its clinical use.
Rhodiola is an adaptogenic herb which has a traditional use for conditions such as anxiety, fatigue and depression. It is also used regularly for improving stamina, strength and resilience as well as aiding recovery from exercise. In this month’s products in practice, we will go focus on the latest research into the therapeutic uses of rhodiola and highlight specific circumstances for its use.
